DANIEL DRAKE BRYAN was born in New York City on the 2d of December, 1864. He is the son of James H. and Nancy (Hall) Drake, his father being of English and his mother of Holland Dutch descent.

Mr. Bryan was educated in the public schools of New York. and has spent the most of his active life in the custom house brokerage business in that city. He is a Republican in politics, a member of the Royal Arcanum, and a public spirited citizen. In Arlington, N. J., where he resides, he has taken a deep interest in local affairs, and in both business and social relations is highly esteemed as a man of integrity and enterprise.

He married Mary Hay Berry, of New York City, and has one child, Edna Drake Bryan.
