WILLIAM H. DANIELSON

WILLIAM H. DANIELSON was born in New Durham, Hudson County,
N. J., where he still resides, June 16, 1826, and is of Scotch descent on
the paternal side and of Dutch ancestry on the maternal side. He is the
son of Joseph Danielson and Rebecca Ackerman and a grandson of William Danielson and Mary Lee. Henry Ackerman, his maternal grand-father, was an old resident of New Durham, a soldier in the War of
1812, and a descendant of the old Dutch family of Ackerman of Bergen
and Hudson Counties.
Mr. Danielson received his education in the schools of New Durham, and has since followed the occupation of a farmer. He has been a successful agriculturist and an influential member of the Democratic party, and has served as Town Committeeman of New Durham. He has been a supporter of the Baptist Church and of various kindred interests, and is highly respected and esteemed. He married, first, Rachel Riker, by whom he has four children: William H. (born in 1850), Anna M., Joseph, and Ella. He married, second, for his present wife, Caroline Wilmington.
