FRANK H. DENNIS

FRANK H. DENNIS, of Arlington, Hudson County, N. J., was born in
Pittston, Pa., July 29, 1850. His parents, John Dennis and Mary A. Arthur,
were both born and married in England and came to the United States
in 1849. His grandfather was James R. Dennis, a man of marked ability
and enterprise. Mr. Dennis received his education at Wyoming College in Kingston, Pa. He associated himself at an early age with the Atlantic Cable Company and at the present time holds a responsible position with the Commercial Cable Company in New York City. He resides in Arlington, Kearny Township, Hudson County, where he has for several years taken a leading part in political and public affairs. He has filled with acknowledged ability the office of Township Tax Commissioner, and in various other capacities has displayed sturdy qualifications and characteristics. Mr. Dennis was for several years Secretary of the Royal Arcanum and the Foresters of America. Public spirited, patriotic, and enterprising, he is prominently identified with the community and enjoys the respect and esteem of all who know hire. In 1873 Mr. Dennis was married in New York and has two children: Frank H., Jr., of Denver, Col., and Mary Elizabeth.
