WILLIAM R. REES

WILLIAM R. REES, of Jersey City, is the son of Rees Rees and
Eleanor MacLaughlan, and was born in that city on the 13th of October,
1876. His father is of Welsh extraction and his mother of Scotch-Irish
parentage. Mr. Rees received his education in the public schools of Jersey City, and after leaving school took up the study of the law. He pursued his legal studies in the office of Spencer and Jacob Weart, in Jersey City, was admitted to the New Jersey bar in November, 1897, and is now in partnership with Howard MacSherry under the firm name of MacSherry & Rees. Since his admission to the bar he has had his offices in Jersey City and has been very successful in practice. He was clerk in the Law Department of Jersey City for three years, and was later called on cases emanating from violations of the health rules by the Jersey City Board of Health. He is a member of the Union League of Jersey City and a prominent citizen, respected by all who know him Mr. Rees was married on Easter Sunday, 1899, to Evelyn Eugenie Robinson, of Waretown, Ocean County, N. J.
