EDMOND L. GREENIN, of Hillsdale, was born in New York City on the 27th of January, 1872. He is the son of Sampson and Cynthia (Webster) Greenin and a grandson of John S. Greenin and John Webster. His family came originally from England.

Mr. Greenin was educated in the schools of Bergen County, which he left at the age of seventeen. Shortly afterward he came into possession of a valuable estate and for some time has devoted himself to looking after his property. He has, however. been very active in the affairs of the Township of Hillsdale, and is a member of the Township Committee and Chairman of the Board of Health. He attends the Dutch Reformed Church, and is a member of the Knights of Honor and of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He married Jennie Gardenier.
