WALTER J. GREEN, of Kearny, is the son of John Langram Green and Emily J. Pullin, and was born in Bristol, England, on the 16th of September, 1864. His parents were both born and married in that country.

Mr. Green came to this country in 1875 and received his education in the public schools of Kearny, N. J. After leaving school he engaged in contracting, painting, and decorating, and still follows that business, having achieved marked success.

He is a Republican in politics and a communicant of the Protestant Episcopal Church. As a citizen he is public spirited, progressive, and highly esteemed. He was married, October 23, 1887, to Jeanne Morton, daughter of Adam and Mary (Jardine) Morton, and a descendant of ancestors who came from Canada. They have three children: Mary Emily, Lilla Agnes, and Morton Albin.
