WILLIAM C. RYAN

WILLIAM C. RYAN was born July 14, 1874, in Bayonne, N. J., where he
still resides, and where his parents, Matthew Ryan and Mary Myers,
natives of Ireland. were married. They came to the United States when
young. Mr. Ryan was educated in the Bayonne public schools and afterward
engaged in general contracting, a business he has followed with
marked success. He has had several large contracts, each of which he has
executed with energy, ability, and satisfaction. He is a Democrat in politics, a public spirited and progressive citizen, and a member of Bayonne Lodge, No. 187, Independent Order of Redmen, of Protection Engine Company of Bayonne, and of the Edward Smith Association. He was married, February 16, 1897, to Alice L. Ford, daughter of George and Margaret Ford, of Bayonne. They have one son, Matthew.
