EDWARD GALLAGHER

EDWARD GALLAGHER, of Guttenberg, was born in Jersey City on
the 1st of February, 1861. He is the son of John Gallagher and Margaret
Modigan, natives of Ireland. Mr. Gallagher was educated in the
public schools of North Hudson County and then engaged in quarrying,
a business he has ever since been identified with. For some time he has
had charge of the county work. He has served as a member of the Council of Guttenberg and as a Justice of the Peace. He is a member of the Royal Arcanum, of the Inde- pendent Order of Foresters, and of the Guttenberg Fire Department. He is a Democrat in politics. He married Jane Dolan and has two children: Evelyn and Agnes.
