WILLIAM VAN HORN

WILLIAM VAN HORN, of Ramsey, was born in Mahwah, N. J., September
27, 1865, his parents being William Van Horn and Anna Van Dien,
both members of old and respected New Jersey families. He was educated in the Mahwah public schools and at Lattimer's Business College in
Paterson. Afterward he engaged in the importing business in New York
City and still later in the grocery trade. He is now engaged in the meat
business at Ramsey, N. J., where he resides.
Mr. Van Horn is a Democrat in politics, a public spirited and enterprising citizen, and actively identified with the affairs of his town and county. He has served as Town Clerk of Hohokus Township, and is a member of Hohokus Lodge, No. 178, I. O. O. F., and of Ramsey Council, No. 245, Junior Order United American Mechanics. He is also a member of the Reformed Church.
