JOHN J. DALEY

JOHN J. DALEY, of Guttenberg, N. J., is a native and life-long resident
of that town, having been born there July 9, 1860. His parents, Martin
Daley and Catherine O'Brien, came to Guttenberg from Ireland.
Mr. Daley attended the public schools of Guttenberg, and afterward engaged in the block-stone business, which he followed for several years with marked success. After disposing of this business he established himself in the liquor trade, in Guttenberg, in which he still continues. As a Democrat Mr. Daley has long been prominent and influential in politics. He was for four years a Commissioner of Appeals, and has been especially active in the formation and development of the Guttenberg Fire Department, being an organizer of Companies 1 and 4, and an exempt member of Hook and Ladder Company No. 1. He is a member of the Foresters of America and of the Catholic Church. Mr. Daley has been for four years and is now a Councilman for Guttenberg. He married Miss Catherine Buckley and has a family of seven children five daughters and two sons all born in Guttenberg.
