: Hello,

: This message is three-fold.  I am a Jersey City artist looking to connect with other JC artists/musicians, a downtown apartment or live-work space to rent, and arts related employment opportunities.  Any feedback or leads you can share would be greatly appreciated.

: 1.  I moved to JC early this year.  Being a singer/musician, pop art painter on recycled materials, and dancer ~ I began my search for other artists/musicians to create with in NYC.  Although I’ve met many wonderful and inspiring artists, I’m finding the constant commute to be draining and time consuming.  Next I dug in Hoboken without much luck ~ perhaps it is too expensive for many artists to live (including myself).  Upon internet research of JC and art, I am finding there is a lot more happening here than I first thought.  I want to meet other Jersey City creative professionals.

: 2.  My husband and I live in the Heights, and we are looking to move to downtown JC mid-December.  We would like to be closer to other artists and art related events.  Any apartment or live/work space referrals are greatly appreciated.

: 3.  I am very interested in helping to coordinate Jersey City cultural events.  I have arts administrative, fundraising, grant research, and special event planning/promotion experience.  With enthusiasm is how I approach life.  Self-motivation is how I found your contact info, and organization is the best way to move forward.  I am open to the type of work, so long as it supports the arts and Jersey City.  My schedule and pay rate are also open.

: I am well versed in both Mac and PC platforms, including word processing (Word, WPerfect, Entourage), database (Excel, Access), and many audio (Digital Perf, Pro Tools, Cool Edit Pro) and visual programs (Photoshop, Front Page, and some Quark).

: Lastly, it may help to know that I enjoy networking.  I will also include that I’ve completed some coursework toward an MBA, and that I speak intermediate Spanish (11 years study, including 4 years at the university level).
