IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Florence Pape 201-798-0200 “THE SHADOW BOX” HOBOKEN, NJ, November 5, 2003 – Hoboken’s Hudson Theatre Ensemble will present “The Shadow Box,” by Michael Cristofer, beginning December 5 at the Performance Space of the Hudson School Building, Hoboken, New Jersey. "The Shadow Box" won both a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Drama of the Year when it opened in 1977 and was hailed as a “thoughtful, surprisingly funny play about life, love, and the ultimate journey…a celebration about life and the human condition.” Jim Boerlin, a veteran New York and regional director, leads a talented array of actors many from Hudson County who have performed before with the Hudson Theatre Ensemble. The cast includes Ron Harvey, Anne-Marie Marcazzo, Gio Perez, Scott Clarkson, Diana Sutherlin, Paul Marcazzo, Gail Neil, Florence Pape, and Adam Piotrowski. The Hudson Theatre Ensemble production of "The Shadow Box" will be running December 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 8 p.m. and December 7 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Performance Space of the Hudson School Building, 601 Park Avenue, Hoboken. The Hudson Theatre Ensemble is a “homegrown” theatre company involving many actors, technicians, directors, and producers from Hudson County. We have produced such hits as "Company," "12 Angry Men," "The Odd Couple," "Picasso at the Lapin Agile," "Lone Star," "The Real Inspector Hound," "For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls," "Glass Menagerie," "Look Homeward Angel," "Steel Magnolias." “The Shadow Box” may not be appropriate for children under 16 years of age.
