HUDSON THEATRE ENSEMBLE PRESENTS THE ODD COUPLE
Hoboken, NJ - Neil Simon, America’s most wildly successful commercial playwright, created a smash hit in his comic play, The Odd Couple because he held up a mirror and showed us ourselves. Who among us, sometime in his life, hasn’t shared living quarters with another human being? Who hasn’t experienced sheer hatred for the sounds his roommate made while he was eating, or her squeaky voice singing in the shower, or how he blipped through a hundred stations in six seconds through the night?!
There is hardly a single day that The Odd Couple isn’t playing somewhere in the world because it represents everyone in the world: if you have annoying traits, habits, and idiosyncrasies, you bring them with you no matter where you go. So bring them to Hoboken where the Hudson Theatre Ensemble, Hoboken’s own resident repertory theatre company, joyfully presents its own colorful cast of well-respected and very talented Hudson County actors in The Odd Couple! Dave Trundle, who delighted us last season with his rip-roaring production of Christopher Durang’s “For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls,” directs this truly popular cultural phenomenon.
The Odd Couple is being presented at the Performance Space of The Hudson School Building at 506 Park Avenue (5th & Park) basement in Hoboken, NJ. Performances are:
