Speaking as a fan less than an editor of anything in particular I would say that he could be treated as a JC poet as equally as a NY one. He reads at all the open mics for Hudson County's Coffee House series and more than a handful of JC experiences are to be chronicled in the novel in progress THE BASTARDS OF BEDFORD. However, I do agree that there should be more of a spotlight on Hudson County artists and writers. Their creative genius just didn't bloom out of the blue but I feel there should be more available in JC for that sort of passion. It will be slow but eventually very fast and hopefully very powerful. I should know. I'm a County resident. thanks, : I do like what I've seen of his work. I've seen Julian perform in New York and Jersey City. Flyers for the book are wheatpasted all over the downtown New York area and they're hyping up this tremendous return-of-the-Brat-Pack aesthetic surrounding his work and a couple others which is all fine with me. But if you are going to get even an ounce of recognition why not hype up your hometown of Jersey City even more? There is so much going on here. Manhattan is almost old hat. But someday my opinion will be too. : : : Visit www.julianstockdale.com for updates and info. : : -Jeff Rosen
