The Attic Ensemble Theater, Jersey City’s resident theater company and recent recipient of the “Outstanding Community Theater” award by RECT, is currently producing The Credeaux Canvas. The play is set in the current day in an artist’s apartment in the East Village.
We are in need of extra canvases and old art equipment to make our set look as realistic as possible. Winston, the main character, needs a full work area and examples of “his” work to hang around the apartment and others in storage (not displayed). He is largely influenced by abstract expressionism
We will give full credit to any artists who can lend us some canvases to have on the set. All work will be returned at the end of the production. We are also in need of used equipment – empty paint tubes, old brushes, etc. – to create a true working space for our production. Anything you can lend us will be a godsend.
In addition to mentioning your temporary donation in our “Play by Play” booklet, we are also open to discuss other ways of giving you exposure during our production. All work is needed by November 8, and will be returned after November 24.
