: Jersey City’s 150 Bay Street Now Accepting Applications for Artist Occupancy : September 15 Move-In Dates for ACB-Approved Tenants : Jersey City, New Jersey (June 1, 2005) – 150 Bay Street, artists’ live/work lofts in the Powerhouse Warehouse Arts District here, is now accepting applications for eight subsidized rental apartments, available to artists who have Artist Certification Board (ACB) approval and meet required income limits. : Occupancy is expected for September 15 of this year. An additional 85 market- rate rental units have also been reserved for lease to artists with higher income levels. : Each available apartment unit is currently reserved for artists who meet ACB requirements. In order to qualify for the 8 subsidized units, an artist’s income must meet HUD Home Program limits for low income (4 units) or moderate income (4 units). Both Artist Certification status and income requirements will be verified by the property’s leasing agent, Citi Habitats Marketing Group. Following that, tenant selection will be made by lottery, with the date to be announced. : : 150 Bay Street is a former warehouse that has been redesigned to give artists the space to let their talents flourish in music, dance, written word and the visual arts. Located minutes from Manhattan by PATH train, the loft rentals feature 14’ ceilings, oversized windows, work sinks, freight elevators, and extra wide doors to make the work portion of life easier. For the living experience, 150 Bay Street has been fitted with fully equipped kitchens, high-speed Internet wiring, a 24-hour attended lobby, and on-site fitness center. : To be considered at the June ACB meeting, applications for Artist Certification can be downloaded from www.150BayStreet.com. The deadline is no later than 10:00am Tuesday, July 6th.
