CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, 126.5 miles (16 alt., 984 pop.), is the seat
of Cape May County. The center of town (R) is dominated by the sparkling white nineteenth century COURTHOUSE, now used as a meeting hall.
Next to it is the newly built brick COURTHOUSE, in the basement of which
is a historical MUSEUM (open weekdays 8-12, 1-4; Sat. 9-1; free) with a
large collection of miscellaneous relics, curios, weapons, and prints.
