CARNEY'S POINT, 82.6 miles (10 alt., 3,050 pop.), is a southerly extension of Pennsgrove. A large colony of uniformly painted green and white frame houses (R) gives a key to the village's industrial life. These are Du Pont-owned dwellings, built as emergency shelters during the World War and since then improved for rental to employees. A Du Pont powder plant is situated nearby.
