Manzo will run with support from Bonocoure and Flood, because the people around Healy will foolishly blow off Flood and Bonocoure. By the time they realize they need these folks it will be too late. That will get them to join with Manzo to make a push to oust Healy in the Spring. With Manzo and two or three of the wannabees together...Healy had better have a huge war chest and a lot of county support.

And I don't think he will consolidate power as fast as Schundler did in 93. As you may remember, Schundler had a fiscal rabbit and he pulled it out of his hat..just in time. It was called a 30% tax cut. Healy has no such rabbit. And he has a lot of dead wood around him too. Smith won't run because he just won't have the cash. For an acting Mayor...his showing was lousy, so he won't be able to raise the cash tis time around.
