I am amazed by the poor political reporting the Jersey Journal performs. Really, with all the corruption going on in Jersey City and Hudson County and all the whistle blowers who put their jobs on the line to do the right thing how can Earl Morgan manage to miss 99% of what is going on. You are shooting fish in a barrel and manage to consistently miss. I have just read the October 28, 2004 report on Steve Lipski's school that I found on-line which Mr. Morgan referred to in a Jersey Journal article about Councilman Steve Lipski. Earl missed the most interesting, damning parts of the report to Lipski's relief. All Earl had to do was quote sections of the report and string them together and he would have had an interesting informative article. Is Earl incompetent? Does he need an aide to help him find the obvious? How about some good old fashioned journalism. The people of Jersey City are starving for the facts and would pay another 5 cents a paper for you to pay a real journalist to seek out the truth and present it in a timely fashion in plain terms. I submit the Jersey Journal's neglect in seeking out and reporting the truth encourages the corruption that is running rampent in Hudson County today. Our prosecutor's hands are tied by politicians but our newspaper should have the courage of its editor's and publisher's convistions. The Jersey Journal doesn't respect the residents of Jersey City so neither does Jersey City's politicians. I invite true journalists both paper and online to bury the Jersey Journal if it doesn't get's its act together. WE know the garbage the Jersey Journal has been feeding us and we are tired of the taste. Fan of the old Jersey Journal
