It has been a long time since I moved out of Jersey City and out of politics in Hudson County. Last week Jed turned me on to this page and what I found was that the politics in Hudson County has not changed from Kenny or Hague. It's just a new bunch doing it. There is a difference however. When Kenny and Hague were around the Hudson County voting block it was the largest in the state. Now, the Democratic votes of Hudson County are more than offset by the Republican Votes of Morris County. During the past Mayor's tenure, I was impressed with what was being accomplished in Jersey City and I was once again proud of my Hometown. This was especially important to me a a former member of the Jersey City Planning Board. Now I read these articles and I am disappointed that all the political nonsense still goes on. Hague is dead and so is Kenny. It's time for the politicians to do what is right for Jersey City and stop playing their petty power games. |
