"After careful consultation with a wide range of party leaders, it became clear that Javier Inclán was the kind of bright, young person we needed to fill the void caused by Janet's untimely passing," said Chairman Kenny. "He will bring energy and commitment to this important leadership post in government and help us grow stronger as a party after the loss of such a beloved member of our Democratic family. I am hopeful that the membership of the County committee will share this view." . . . He first entered public office in 1998, when he was elected to the Guttenberg School Board. Two years later, he was elected to the Town Council. Inclán has served as a member of Governor James E. McGreevey's transition team's Committee on Higher Education and currently serves as Executive Director of the Hudson County Democratic Organization. He is a member of the Latin Kiwanis Club. If elected, Inclán will focus on the modernization of the Clerk's office with an emphasis on exploring new technology. "We don't have to reinvent the wheel, but we can make it spin a little faster," he said.
