DeGise by a Knockout

I was at today's Degise event at the Old Couthouse on Newark Avenue in Jersey City.

I'd have to say that EVERY elected official in Hudson County was there pulling for DeGise. Melissa Holloway was also in attendence. Bettinger was holding a sign for Degise; I guess he wanted everybody to know that he ws only sightseeing at the Hartnett event.

Basically -- unless Glenn gets Former President Carter to work for him -- DeGise is standing up watching Hartnett take a snooze on the canvas. At this point, the whole election is a mere technicality.

The Press had quite a presence, too.

Quite a crowd of (presumably) union supporters were holding a forest of signs and giving out T-shirts.

DeGise is swimming with the tide.

The only question that remains is how far are Cunningham and Menendez going to go with their feud? Cunningham could damage Menendez's prestige in DC -- perhaps even replace him in the House. DeGise and Menendez will be able keep quite a few carrots away from Glenn's horses.
