I work with non violent criminals coming out of jail. I am trying to build a network of resources and have had a little difficulty trying to get a response and some mutual respect from one of the depatments. Now I have read this article and I can understand why - we need viable services - people can change their behavior and have a positive impact on a community - But if they are treated subhumanly and with no rspect then chances for change are minimal.
