: A single point of failure froma design standpoint is not acceptable.  This also holds true with political subdivisions of which Hudson County is one.   The County has failed the residents of Jersey City and taken much to much to worth a continued relationship.   As this relationship is one abuse of power the Mayor should start an effort to discontinue the Hudson County and Jersey City franchise.   Jersey City needs to be another county so it will be free to move quickly to capitalize on the changing enviroment.   While Hudson County has failed due in no small part to the corruption of the HCDO and the corrupt State Government Jersey City must also realize that many of its advances in the past have been a lucky mistake.   The requires a smart government that acts with the best intentions of the population.   At the current time we have stupid greedy people who never consider anyone but themselves.   It is clear Hudson County holds nothing for Jersey City, but he question remains can the Jersey City Government get over their racism and act for the benefit of all the people not for their friends and business buddies.
