32nd District Democrats very confident Monday, October 27, 2003 By PETER J. SAMPSON With a streak of 16 election victories between them and token opposition ahead, state Sen. Nicholas J. Sacco and his Democratic running mates in the Assembly aren't fretting the Nov. 4 showdown in the 32nd District. Hudson County's heavily Democratic precincts haven't sent a Republican to Trenton since 1985, when GOP candidates rode Gov. Thomas H. Kean's coattails to briefly capture the four Assembly seats in the 32nd and 33rd districts. Outgunned in terms of name-recognition, money, and organization, this year's challengers concede that they have little hope of breaking the Democrats' lock. But they say they are in the race to offer voters a choice. Sacco, who is seeking a fourth term, and running mates Anthony Impreveduto of Secaucus and Joan Quigley of Jersey City, who are seeking their ninth and sixth terms, respectively, are waging low-key campaigns. . . .
