FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HOBOKEN, November 26, 2003 - Local supporters of Presidential Candidate General Wesley K. Clark (Ret.) will hold a fund-raiser in his honor on December 10th in Hoboken, campaign officials announced. The event is tapping into the growing support of young professionals who have their hopes of a safer, healthier and economically vibrant America tied to the General. The fund-raiser will be held at the very popular nightspot Texas Arizona, starting at 7:00 pm. "We're very excited about the level of interest and support for General Clark," said the event organizer, Vincent J. Militello, of Bayonne. "This really shows that General Clark sees how much New Jersey and young professionals support him." The campaign event will run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Texas Arizona, 76 River Street (diagonally across the street from the Hoboken PATH). General admission is $50, which includes hors d'oeuvres and live entertainment; a VIP reception with a special guest and open-bar, is $500 per person. ### ### ### EVENT INFORMATION:
General Wesley K. Clark is one of America's most distinguished retired military officers. During his 34 years of service in the United States Army, he held numerous staff and command positions, rising to the rank of four-star general and NATO Supreme Allied Commander. General Clark is a recipient of numerous U.S. and foreign military awards, including the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart. He received honorary Knighthoods from the British and Dutch governments and was made a commander of the French Legion of Honor. In August 2000, President Clinton awarded General Clark with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor. ABOUT NJFORCLARK
