: As the New Year is upon us, we should be thankful for the things we have received during the past 12 months.

: 1 - The fumbling bumbling political novices of North Hudson that have allowed SideShow Bill and his boss to become the political leaders in a county that still hasn't recovered from the plague of political intrigue and scandal heaped upon us for nearly a decade. 

: 2 - The one or two adept reporters in the local press that have maintained their independence sufficient to report on all aspects of events, not just the angle preferred by the editorial boards.   

: 3 - The entertaining idiocy provided by Jersey City's "SideShow Bill" Ayala. His idiotic antics and immaturity has added spice to the tavern banter as few have in the past. Thanks Bill for the fodder needed to keep the snickering going about this "gang that can't shoot strait" administration. From Bayonne to North Bergen...we owe you a debt of gratitude for providing us something to laugh about. 

: 4 - Governor McGrevey for never faililng to disappoint the constituents when it comes to giving Hudson and JC its fair share of tax dollars and patronage. Gee Jim.... never been a Gov with a "D" that hasn't carried a plurality in JC. Better mend fences with GDC or you may be toast soon. 

: 5 - Bobby Janiszewski for the never-ending headlines of indictments. What a wonderful way to begin the morning... coffee....the JJ....and news of another prosecution leading to another special election to fill another vacancy created by another criminal....oops...I mean elected official.
