"Documenting the Peace Move/meant" JERSEY CITY - An exhibit with the works of Jersey City photographer Tracey Luszcz will open during a reception at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2004 in the City Hall Rotunda, 280 Grove Street. The exhibit, which includes dozens of black and white photographs, tells the story of the American anti-war movement and other protests such as the killing of Earl Faison in police custody. The photos focus on the role of youth in the peace demonstrations. On 'display are also several pieces of life in contemporary Cuba. A second photo exhibit, "4 Seasons in the Bergen Arches" is currently on display on the second floor of City Hall. The photographs include the work of five local artists and tell the story of the double-track Bergen Tunnel that was part of the Erie Railroad, from the past to its present state. Andrzej Lech, whose work is displayed in the "4 Seasons" show received an award for his work at the Venice Biennial Art Show in Italy. For more information on the two exhibits or to interview one of the artists, please contact Greg Brickey in the Cultural Affairs Department at (201) 547-4333.
