SENATOR CUNNINGHAM ON STATE OF THE STATE

TRENTON - Senator Glenn D. Cunningham, D-31, made the following comments after listening to Governor McGreevey's State of the State Address today before a joint session of the Legislature.

"The Governor presented a very acceptable road map for the next two years. I liked what I heard about improving government efficiencies. I liked the after-school proposal to help young people, but I hope he was talking about state-mandate, state-pay because the communities need that help from the State. I would have liked to have heard more about dealing with the problems of the cities, but I have some thoughts I would like to share with him in the coming months and I just hope he listens."
