Who was that Mayor of DC that got locked up for coke? When he got reelected, Congress took all power away from the DC Mayor's Office. The mayor could then run around dancing with senior citizens and cutting ribbons until he got dizzy, but that was all he could do. I think that Glenn is gonna be tiptoing through those tulips! : 3 years? Think it'll take that long? People are already talking recall (although they always do), that Bobby M will engineer it after Hartnett's defeat in June. : More likely, Glenn's "inner circle" will drag him down to the point where "doing a Nixon" is the only way out. Will he resign for "health reasons" or "because the axis of evil in union city has conspired against him"? Who can say? : In that case, it'll be Harvey Smith until the special election. He won't have a chance after Glenn, so maybe Lipski, Vega, (inevitably) Manzo, and O'Dea (if he has the belly for it). : Not particularly inspiring. |
