Be Careful What You Ask For

Jersey City may not end up being too happy with the fact that Troy Washington transferred his executive director’s job from the Hoboken Housing Authority to the Jersey City Housing Authority.

According to inside sources, an informal audit of Hoboken Housing Authority records allegedly disclose vast over-spending of funds to the point of putting the Authority in serious financial jeopardy. In addition, there are allegedly some very serious questions regarding the security details and contracts totaling about $3 million at the Authority. According to one source, it could warrant records being turned over to U.S. Attorney Chris Christie. According to another source, the U.S. Attorney is already getting primed to look into the Authority’s dealings.
