: I attended the breakfast announcing the new Council on the Arts and Tourism at the Hyatt the other day. And it was amazing to observe the dynamic between Lady One and Mayor Man.

: First, Lady One was introduced as the Mistress of Ceremonies. Has kind of an odd sound to it. She gave a short, loud and very unimaginative speech regarding this new group. And her primary cheerleader was Mayor Man. Sitting at the table in front of her, and clapping wildly like a trained seal at almost every phrase she uttered.

: Then she introduced her hubby, Mayor Man, as "the man with the vision". I almost fell off my chair. His speech was almost incoherent, including a rather lame joke about the Statue of Liberty.

: These two are obviously devoted to one another. However, it's clear that Lady One drives his agenda as well as the City's. Between the two of them, there is neither vision or the real competence to govern the City properly. Add to that, their turning a blind eye to the corruption rampant among their lackeys and supporters, and it's a prescription for disaster for Jersey City
