Ambling down Summit Avenue yesterday I had the opportunity to view the resplendent repaired King Association Billboard.
Rising up from its sorrows at the side of the road, it's sorta like a symbol of the Easter Season.
Now, as my fans well know, I'm not one to p1ss in the punch. And, (I'll admit), I've not been able to find my spectacles for 2 days now. But, with the smallish pictures and the hurricane whorls of text, can like regular Joe or Jane Citizen make any sense of the sign? Especially whizzing by at 35 mph? The billboard is too far away from the light for stopped traffic to do much perusing. Even that'll be only the first couple of vehicles, at best. Anyhow though, I hear that if you use a pair of binoculars while looking out the window from 595 Newark Avenue, Jimmy King's sign reads like the front page of the Daily News. . .
