The code updates every few minutes. When it says that there are two visitors that means that someone else is visiting the GET NJ Hudson County Politics Message Board at the same time that you are. If it says there are 5 visitors, then you and 4 other people are visiting this particular Board right AT THE SAME TIME.

As people come and go, the count updates every few minutes.

The banner doesn't keep track of visitors at any other Pages of the Site -- only at the Main Page of the Hudson County Politics Message Board.

I knew that it would be sorta slow over a holiday weekend. But, I wanted to update the Page during slack tide, so to speak.

I'm also going to have a banner that'll only be on the Page when I'm visiting the Board.

Weekdays, all of GET NJ (not including relates Sites) regularly gets over 4,000 visitors daily.
