JERSEY CITY * U.S. Marine Steve Fulop, candidate for Congress in the 13th District, will condemn the intimidation tactics targeted at his supporters during an 11 a.m. news conference Monday, April 19, 2004, at 911 Bergen Avenue. Fulop, challenger to incumbent Robert Menendez, will hold the news conference outside Menendez's office and demand he and his supporters play by the rules of law and conduct his campaign under lawful parameters. Police reports show Menendez supporters dressed as law enforcement personnel attempting to scare off and intimidate Fulop supporters who signed his petition to run for Congress and challenge the incumbent. Steven Fulop took a leave of absence from his job at Goldman Sachs to join the U.S. Marine Corps reserves following the September 11 (2001) attacks on America. Fulop and his supporters who are the victims of Menendez's scare tactics will be on hand for comment. Copies of police reports filed will also be available for release.///
