The Senate Labor Committee will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at 6:00 PM at the Mary McLeod Bethune Community Center, 140 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Jersey City, NJ.

The public hearing will examine the problems faced by minority contractors in obtaining the bonding necessary to enable them to bid on certain public works projects. The hearing will also focus on the Bonding Assistance Program created by the New Jersey School Construction Corporation.

Due to time constraints, persons wishing to testify should limit their comments to 5 minutes. This time limit will be strictly enforced. Those persons presenting written testimony should provide 15 copies to the committee at the hearing.

All persons wishing to testify must CALL AND REGISTER with Dana A. Fraytak, Committee Aide, or Cristi J. Cameron, Secretary, at (609) 984-0445, fax (609)777-2998, or e-mail: OLSAide_SLA@njleg.org
