: : Funny thing, as long as the Catholic Church put up with the 2-faced, it was SIMPLY MARVELOUS.  Every other word out of Jimmy Mac was about having breakfast with the Monsignor.

: : : It is laughable for these bishops to try to strongarm Catholic politicians by witholding the Churchs' sacraments.  These bishops, who obstructed justice by hiding pedophile priests and concealing evidence key to law enforcement investigations, can simply no longer claim the moral high ground.

: : : They threaten to withold the Churchs' grace from those who support a woman's right to choose while turning a blind eye to others who support the death penalty.  They propagate the myth that condoms cannot prevent sexually transmitted diseases like HIV and compound the AIDS crisi throught the world.  They discriminate againt women by refusing them entry into the priesthood.

: : : The Catholic Church is anachronistic, anti-woman, homophobic and simply out of touch with the realities of the world.  It is not surprising that people are leaving the church in droves and priests no longer can be recruited.

: Wouldn't want to be any of the church hierarchy when they have to face " THE CREATOR " and have to explain why they stated someone should not recieve Holy Communion.  Think thats some thing between a person and Christ.  Ask two priests a question as to wether a person who is divorced should be allowed to recieve before having their marriage of 30 years annulled .  I am sure you will get conflicting answers.  If we wait for a politician who agrees on everything the Catholic Church stands for it might be a while before we ever have another Catholic politician.  Oh... one more thing.     Why is this an issue right now??????? Didn't Govenor and Senator have these feelings a while ago.  Tough to play GOD when your human.
