I read the whining post about a rap concert at the Loew's and I wanted to start a new post.

I didn't vote for Cunningham in 2001 and I don't listen to rap music. Me listening to rap music would be like right out of that Steve Martin movie.

Having said that, I think that it is great that the Loew's is finally, after who know how may tax payer dollars been poured into it, being used for some purpose for people of Jersey City. That it's something that I'm not really interested in seeing, I'm not going to complain, obviously a lot of people like rap music even if I'm not one of them. Maybe this will like break the ice and something will be going on there besides once in a blue moon 3rd rate movies out of the bargain basket at Blockbusters.

The FOL (FONIES OF THE LOEWS) have been fighting tooth and nail to keep that place closed as their private clubhouse, with the rest of us being left to pick up the tab. With their scheming and yelping (and an inside track to Congressman Guarini?) they managed to browbeat 3 different mayors. After 15 years of COMING SOON signs, I'm glad that Glenn Cunningham is making the FOL bunch do something for somebody besides their little in crowd click.
