My luck day? I didn't want to be confrontational, but here's the story:
I had already spoken directly with that particular candidate twice. I'd met him and gave him my card. Later on that same day, I ran into him when meeting a mutual friend. He said that he was very interested in providing material to be posted here and advertising, too. He told me that I should arrange an appointment with his staff. I tried to do so -- actually going to his office once. Eventually, I got a call back from an aide saying that they were not interested in doing anything now but might be in September.

When asked by a supporter why nothing was going up on the Board, I relayed the aide's statement. I was told that this was not the case and to call the candidate right away. I called immediately. A woman answered who listened to what I had to say and then put me on hold. Returning to the line, she told me that she just spoke to the candidate and he is not interested in supplying any information until sometime in September.

I've contacted each candidate (except for Carroll, I'll drop a card off at his office today).

I spent a lot of time trying to get in touch with one candidate (as described above) because one of his supporters kept telling me that the campaign was very interested in keeping in touch with the Board and advertising here. So far, I've just gotten a sent on a wild goose chase -- and I don't mean the ones in Liberty State Park.
