: I don't think that it was North Bergen.  I think that he came from West New York.  He was some kind of politico up there but he wound in a problem and had to leave town.  It was North Hudson for sure.

: : : I don't know if your Jersey City's version of Mother Teresa, but since I moved here every mayor has had his pet weasel.  The exception that proved the rule was Cucci, HE WAS HIS OWN WEASEL!  I didn't see his first ride on the merry-go-round, but on the second (if not better) time around McCann had that character on the city payroll getting paid big bucks for pr work while police were getting laid off.  When the general public was ready to storm the walls over this, the guy had to take a walk but started up a magazine that nobody read but still managed to get plenty of ads.
