With Gov. James E. McGreevey dropping one shoe by endorsing the candidates backed in the primary by the Hudson County Democratic Organization, can we expect the other side to start stomping him?

The first signs of that - literally as well as figuratively - may have been placards held up by supporters of the other side at the governor's endorsement appearance in Bayonne on Tuesday. One sign referred to him as "McSleezy" and others criticized proposed state budget cuts.
