NEW YORK - For a 25-year-old kid from Hoboken just beginning his political education, Joshua Maarleveld found himself in unusually high demand at the Republican National Convention this week.

Whether addressing a gathering of the Veterans for Bush and taking questions from people three times his age or meeting the 41st president, George H.W. Bush, on the deck of the Intrepid aircraft carrier, Maarleveld, a veteran of the Iraq war and a Marine reservist who served as a delegate to the convention this week, has had quite an introduction to politics.
