: Recently two people asked me why I post what I do.  The simple answer is that's what people send  me.  Whatever I get, I check out.  If there's something to it, I post it.

: To keep the story short, don't play like misty-serious.  If you know something, the post it.  If you don't know something, keep yer ignorance a secret by keeping yer yap shut!

: As a digression:
: I get a deluge from the Menendez Hate Club.  The Congressman's staff provides not even belly button lint on his behalf I don't even see the old episodes of Report to the People on Ch. 51 anymore.  Menendez's office wouldn't even tell me when he was scheduled to speak at the convention.  A classic was when a few years back someone upstairs there on Bergen Ave told me to read the Jersey Journal if I wanted to know what was going on -- even ol' Peg Leg Pete hadda smile at that one!  So, in order to provide a balanced picture of Congressman Menendez, I spend a fair amount of time researching and collecting positive items.  And then Congressman Bob's glee club complains that they don't see enough happy trails tales here!

: : So how exactly does your guy Schundler raise funds Anthony? Or how did Cunningham? You're pretty selective in your rips.

: : : For a moment I suspected the possilbility of wealthy individuals evading the campaign finance laws by using the names of other people to make donations.  What a silly thought.  I'm sure that nobody would ever do anything like that!

: : : : ::::It is kind of inspiring - "mommy" hiding the seed money in a jam jar, "little johnny" buying used books & skipping meals & "ma & pa " eating dog food & cutting their blood pressure medicine in half. Kinda brings a tear to your eye. 

: : : : : Just taking a quick look at the various donor lists, the number of "homemakers," "students," and "retirees" is very striking.  It's very inspiring to imagine all these folks -- from frugal management of their fixed incomes -- saving nickels and dimes so that they can make $1000 donations to Bob Menendez!

: : : : : : ::::Though I only have made it to page 55 so far, it seems to me there are an awful lot of "homemakers" who made healthy contributions. Watch out Kay. (snicker)
