Lipski might do this. Steve might do that. This one might be working with this him. The Ward C Councilman might grow wings and fly up alongside St. George and the Dragon! You got your suspicions, be specific. Exactly what other candidate do you think Steve Lipski is in cahoots with? From what other candidate(s) do you think Lipski will draw votes while at the same time not hurting the supposed secret partner? Sure, spoilers get deployed in political races. There was a special on PBS a month or so ago on how Joe Kennedy pushed for JFK. Seems that in the Congressional race there was an Italian candidate. As luck would have it, out of the blue someone with a very similar name threw their hat in the ring and split the vote. This worked because their was an Italian electorate in Boston. A block of votes was divided. : Thanks for the little political lesson. : Guess you haven't figured it out yet. : Lipski makes a deal with the candidate he believes will win in Nov, thus same candidate runs and wins in May. : Lipski pulls votes away from one or two candidate who are seen as strong in Ward C, thus not giving the candidate in the lead in Ward C as strong a base and not over the top. : Look at the numbers from 2001, DeGise and Cunningham were nip and tuck in most wards until it got to Ward F where Cunningham blew it open. (no there no McGreevey reference here :)-). Some campaign may think that's a similar strategy, to siphion off enough votes. It's not about Lipski winning, it's a diversion. : Lipski aka "The Worm", helps the candidate he went to bat for, gets on their May ticket, possibly if the ticket wins control Council President, maybe a better job for his wife. : Do you see now Mr Clueless?
