Does anybody know what the law is on this? My view from the curb is that as it's illegal to put a sign up on a public property, a sign on a pole is fair game (as long as the action doesn't create a safety hazard). Of course, if the opposition sees their signage being removed, one must realize that engaging in a hazardous activity entails to some degree the assumption of risk -- ye'r puttin' yer behin' on the line, Bub! A sign on a house or a business is a different story. Tampering with that is criminal mischief and infringing on someone's right to expression. : :::Hmmmm, they are giving their toadies a pay raise. During the 2001 fiasco there was a $5 bounty. A 100% increase in under 3 years. Not bad. : As there are virtually no "other" signs up, guess who they are targeting. : Their spiritual leader, he of the wrinkled clothes, says one of the other plans is to follow the competition around when they do their walks, then come through later, take down the signs put up and replace them with theirs. : Honesty and integrity at its best.
