Reprising their last primary contest for the 32nd District Senate seat, Republicans Frank MacCormack Sr. of Secaucus and John Pluchino of North Bergen are battling for the right to face North Hudson Democratic power Nicholas J. Sacco in November.

This time, however, the intraparty feud has taken a bizarre turn: MacCormack is alleging that Hudson County Republican leaders plotted to help Sacco's bid for a fourth Senate term - a claim they scornfully dismiss.
