They should just pack it in. They were first counting on Ray Manzo to take votes away from Lou and then they were counting on a Bret endorsement to help boost him with republican votes. The whole Healy campaign is being based on what others can do for them rather than Healy & Co. going out and mounting a positive campaign to get people to vote for him. A sad campaign for a sad 3rd rate canidate.

: In a phone conversation this morning, Bret Schundler says that he has not endorsed anyone in the special election for Mayor of Jersey City and has no plans to do so.

: I called Frmr. Mayor Schundler because yesterday a highly visible figure in the camp of one of the contestants told me that Schundler was backing that organization's candidate. As the statement is not factual, it's necessary to conclude that anyone circulating this rumor is mistaken -- at best.
