NEWARK - Disgraced former Hudson County Executive Robert Janiszewski testified in federal court yesterday that he accepted thousands of dollars in bribes from a county vendor in envelopes handed to him by Freeholder Nidia Davila-Colon of Jersey City, who is on trial on corruption charges.

Reiterating the admissions he made in pleading guilty to extortion in October, the former Democratic powerbroker, who resigned in September 2001, said he received payments of $20,000 from Union City psychiatrist Dr. Oscar Sandoval in 1999 in exchange for county contracts.
