NEWARK - Nearly seven months after his emotional appearance in court to plead guilty to extortion, former Hudson County Executive Robert Janiszewski was once again in the federal justice complex on Walnut Street - this time as a witness.

Appearing calm and sure of himself, Janiszewski testified for about an hour yesterday in the corruption trial of Freeholder Nidia Davila-Colon of Jersey City, who he said passed him $10,000 in bribes from a county vendor in 1999.
